Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi-Tree Hotel This morning we depart Nairobi and proceed to Nyeri arriving in time for lunch followed by transfer your Aberdares National Park for accommodation and night game viewing as wildlife comes to the floodlit waterhole and salt lick below. Dinner & Overnight at Tree Hotel (L, D)
Day 2: Aberdare – Nanyuki After breakfast we depart to Nanyuki where we arrive at the Mount Kenya Safari Club whose membership includes a host of movie stars, politicians and aristocrats. Here you can have a day of total relaxation in the splendid landscaped surroundings with magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya. Available activities here include horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage and much more. Dinner & Overnight at Mount Kenya Safari Club (L,D) Day 3: Mt. Kenya Safari Club – Lake Nakuru During the morning cross the tip of the Aberdare Mountains stopping briefly to admire Thompson’s Falls. Continue to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in the park. This park is also a birdwatchers paradise. The lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth – myriads of fuschia pink flamingoes whose numbers are legion, often more than a million maybe two. They feed on the abundant algae, which thrives in the warm waters. Scientists reckon that the flamingo population at Nakuru consumes about 250,000 kilos of algae per hectare of surface area per year. Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park -Masai Mara Game Reserve 1After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara which is reached by lunchtime followed by an afternoon game drive. During the migration the plains are full of wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle. Also regularly seen are leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles, who lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. Dinner & Overnight at Lodge or Camp (B, L, D)
Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve Full day in the Masai Mara with morning and evening game drives and exploration. All meals at the lodge or camp. Overnight at Lodge or Camp (B,L,D) Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi After breakfast return, via the Great Rift Valley, to Nairobi which is reached by afternoon, Lunch at Carnivore Restaurant before drove off at the Nairobi City hotel or Airport.
